Our Training Program

Float Therapy is performed by trained facilitators who provide guidance and support throughout the floating experience, where important emphasis is given to safety and trust-building as a means of holding space for participants.

Float Therapy methodology relies on a set of 7 principles & circularity models and training is undertaken in a series of three levels. Each level introduces more of the aquatic bodywork world in general and expands with diving more into the Float Therapy concept and toolbox. Throughout the years the teaching approach casted in more knowledge in a much focused way, establishing teaching techniques to optimize the intensive learning environment of the students. The training is unique with its set up of diverse presentations, practice both on land and in water, with the support of a professional textbook.

It is through this program that trainees develop the skills needed to be certified practitioners and facilitators as a worldwide Float Therapy Aquatic Bodyworkers.

FAQ

What is “free, independent floating”?

Floating in space served as the inspiration for Float Therapy.

By floating on your back in warm water, supported by a float cap and a set of accessories, the ultimate goal is to enter a meditative state. This process allows you to go inward, reconnect with yourself, and restore and reset your body, mind, and spirit. Just as “shavasana” is the final asana in a yoga practice—simple yet profound, closing the practice and integrating its benefits—so too does free independent floating. It provides a space to collect the benefits of the therapy, offering more process time that is often missing in our busy lives. It helps relax the body from the demands of daily tasks, supports the body’s physiological processes, and invites us to transcend, gaining insights into the “bigger picture.”

Are float classes open for all?

We invite everyone to join and take part in this beautiful and unique journey of relaxation, meditation, and self-integration. The therapeutic activity is guided by skilled aquatic bodyworkers facilitators who ensure you are fully taken care of and feel safe. As with many types of bodywork, we we provide full guidance before beginning the session. If you have any specific concerns or health issues, a brief conversation with a practitioner or facilitator will help answer your questions.

What are the 7 Principles?

Healing Togetherness

Holding Space

Receiver Needs

Listening Hands

Water Element

Innovation

Teamwork

Float Therapy is founded on seven core principles.
Each principle serves as a cornerstone, with unique properties that can function independently as therapeutic elements while also contributing integrally to the overall form and structure of the approach. Each principle embodies key concepts that capture its essence.

The chronological arrangement of these principles has been deliberately designed to reflect the philosophy behind the practice. This arrangement guides the direction and structure of the classes and activities while allowing the freedom to explore modularity and creativity.

Float Therapy principles weave together the philosophies and practices of both Western and Eastern bodywork traditions.
