FAQ
What is Aquatic bodywork?
Aquatic bodywork is a form of therapy that uses the water element, its properties and space to promote healing and relaxation.
Warm water at 34°c provides a comfortable environment, allowing the participant’s body to release muscle tension and relieve pressure from gravity while floating in a near weightless state. The water serves as a supportive platform, enabling the practitioner to perform a series of movements and apply bodywork techniques, creating a holistic body-mind-spirit experience.
Do I need any experience to join the first module?
We welcome everyone to join the first module of Float Therapy.
This introductory module provides an overview of the Float Therapy concept and opens a window to the world of aquatic bodywork. The foundations module is open to all, and no prior experience is required.
What would be the difference from other Aquatic Bodywork techniques?
Float Therapy is centered around three main elements that emphasize its unique approach.
It is a therapeutic group activity that fosters “healing togetherness” and creates an opportunity to introduce many people to the water.
The unique and core element of this activity is the “free, independent floating” experience of the participant, akin to “Savasana” in water.
During the activity, we use a specially designed set of high-end accessories to optimize the participants’ comfort and body alignment.
