A healthy body, a sound mind, and a vibrant spirit are
the foundation of a successful life.

Welcome Home to Yourself

Imagine yourself floating in warm water, weightless and free as if in outer space. Gentle movements release tension in your body and bring you into a state of relaxation. Your breath becomes present, even and deep with every inhalation and exhalation. The warm water helps you to align with your body, mind, and spirit. Literally you’re resetting and restoring at a cellular level. You return to „point zero“. It’s a moment of reunion in which awareness quietly comes to the fore and brings a deep awakening.

The water, soft and powerful, supports you together with the compassionate and sensitive quality of human touch. Layers of stress, fear and resistance dissolve. You discover a level of calm, clarity and quiet joy. Peace flows through every part of your being as you surrender. Gravity disappears. With it, the burden of the mind. You embark on a deep meditation – a journey into your inner self begins.

Floating turns into a ritual – of liberation. It is a simple invitation that is nonetheless steadfast. Observe and move in harmony with yourself and the world around you. It offers a sense of renewal, a deeper connection to yourself. Floating gently ignites the light on your path. Become aware of the possibility of putting your well-being at the centre of your life. Appreciate it as the foundation for everything else.

Vision, Story & Timeline

Our vision is to invite people from all walks of life to experience and benefit from the therapeutic properties of warm water in a safe, trusting, and inclusive space.

Iceland, the birthplace of Float Therapy, is home to an abundance of thermal pools due to its unique location on the rift between the American and European continents. For centuries, Icelanders have maintained a deep connection to water through daily visits to public swimming pools for bathing, swimming, and socializing.

The concept of Float Therapy was born in 2012 as a rejuvenating, modern addition to Iceland’s rich bathing culture, addressing the need for a sense of belonging and a profound connection to well-being. Over time, independent float gatherings gained popularity, leading to the need for trained aquatic bodyworkers to facilitate and supervise float classes. Gradually, the philosophy behind Float Therapy evolved into a structured practice, and by 2018, it had developed into a comprehensive approach and methodology. This included a three-module training program to certify aquatic bodyworkers as skilled providers of high-standard therapeutic activities.

By 2022, Float Therapy had grown into a global movement, embraced by communities worldwide. It introduced the concept of “Healing Togetherness”, where individuals and groups gather to float, fostering connection and shared well-being.

The Value of Float Therapy

Float therapy is a form of aquatic bodywork performed on the surface of a calm, warm pool maintained at 34°C. This therapeutic experience offers numerous benefits, impacting the body, mind, and spirit in a profound and timely manner. The unique properties of warm water, combined with a nurturing environment, activate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting deep relaxation. The numerous physical processes within the participant’s body are naturally fostering restoration and balance. Emotions and sensations rise, allowing them to be processed and integrated, while the mind transitions into a meditative state, enabling meaningful introspection.

Float therapy provides a variety of wellness and well-being experiences, ranging from one-on-one premium class to small group class for pairs, as well as float activities for larger groups. These offerings ensure a highly enjoyable and transformative journey. As a result, Float Therapy has become a “must-have” feature in the world of wellness-wellbeing venues, spas and retreats.
